Youth Development Program

We are an amateur youth sports outreach, fostering sports involvement and competition, all upon mentoring and/or facilitating exposure to positive life experiences.

We know that all behavior is learned behavior, and that people are merely a product of their environment and experiences, for these reasons, we implement the “4D” (discernment, discretion, decisions, and dedication) philosophy... It’s not that the “4D-Philosophy” will eliminate wrong decisions, better decisions will increase exponentially.

Additionally

We’ll provide information and smart technology training services, and a pre-apprentice program for high school students and/or unemployed adults alike. Upon providing basic mathematics, computer/digital literacy, as well as an introduction to project management, after completion of the pre-requisite classes, students will be offered three (3) career paths to choose from;

Hello, I’m Alfred Brown, President/CEO – FYI: S.U.N.Y. Oneonta “Red-Dragon” existed long before “Red Bull”, but it was “Red Bull” that was needed for this Journey…from the gateway of the mid-west, east to the foothills of the Adirondacks, and then returning west to the “Magnificent Mile”. With 39 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, and transportation, including Behlman Builders, Westinghouse, ABB, Bridgeport Steel, and Union Pacific Railroad. Versatility and diversification are key to longevity, establishing the right pace for the race is paramount, it facilitates the sprint towards victory, and we’re all in it to win it…allow me to introduce the board and staff;

Hello, I’m Dr. Mable Alfred, Board Member – Upon my 33 plus years in education, after retirement as superintendent of school district 159, I was asked about one of my most memorable moments…I simply replied, spearheading and the groundbreaking of The Matteson Community STEM Center in Matteson, IL. The facility houses the offices of School District 159, an aerospace lab, a Makerspace lab and a foundational lab for younger students and community members. One thing we know, we must prepare ourselves for a world that many of our students don’t see right now, in many ways a world that doesn’t exist. As for me, I’m forever learning in life, while living life to share and instruct, it’s truly my pleasure.

Hello, I’m Dr. Tina Halliman, Board Member – My introduction into the public school system started from humble beginnings; a summer school painter and custodian while attending college. Upon graduation, I worked as a Crisis Interventionist, Social Worker, and Special Education Teacher for CPS district 299, and currently I’m the Superintendent of SPEED, school district 802. Having 27 years of service, ready to rumble as a rambler, with a Huskies heart, being an alumnus of; Loyola, Northern Illinois, Aurora, and Dominican Universities has been most rewarding. However, being the IEA Human and Civil Rights Recipient, with honors as Fellow, Leadership Chair, and International Delegate, the most heartfelt gratification comes from the programs and service to students with special needs.

Hello, I’m Kenton Saunders, Board Member – 38 years removed from my athletic exploits and accolades, as a mentor, coach, and trainer, fostering youth sports and competition, the present is amazing. Having the opportunity to facilitate the development of athletic skill sets, while implementing the 4D (discernment, discretion, decisions, and dedication) life management philosophy, has proven to be the gift that keeps giving…I often reflect back on when I was told my latter years would be greater than the former, and still, the best is yet to come.
